What Cutting Dairy Out Can Do For You: Weather you feel that something isn’t right with your diet or you know that something you are eating is causing problems then cutting dairy out should be your first port of call. TheSkinnyRules Festive Detox: Day One
So, probably, like me you’re probably feeling pretty lousy after the 2012 festivities. More so for me as I am bit of a health freak so when it comes to slightly indulging I feel 10x worse as I dont tend to have such things as white potatoes, christmas treats and most of all champagne or prosecco…. LOTS of Prosecco!!  Where do you go from here? Start by getting your mind set right. If...

Vision Board for 2013/2014
Last may I made a wish list for all the things I wanted to achieve for the year. Now I have achieved them all its time to set my sights for 2013 and put together what I want from 2013. My mentor always encouraged me to create a vision board as the sub conscious actually makes it happen without you even realising it.  In May 2012 I made a post on all the things I wanted bit of a wish list… ...

Why we should cut out bread from our diet!!!
The rate at which you’ll lose weight by cutting out bread depends at least partly on the amount of bread you eat each day. The more bread you eat, the more likely you are to shed pounds by eliminating it from your diet. But results are also affected by the food you use to replace bread. Just cutting bread products won’t melt away the pounds, especially if you’re eating other...

Why we should look after our Liver!!
The consequences of mistreating the liver include obesity, a higher incidence of cardiovascular disease, chronic fatigue, headaches, digestive problems, allergies and many other ailments. And although the immune system protects our body from many dangers, it is the liver that protects the immune system from overload.                                        Introduction Many people struggle...

#TheSkinnyRules Cauliflower Pizza
Healthy Pizza made easy…. Why make a pizza without the dough? Well, many reasons, I’ll just give you the 2 reasons that inspired me to try cauliflower pizza. 1. Each of these pizzas are about 300 calories. Serve it with a side salad and you have an entire plate full of food and not a lot of calories. A REAL piece of pizza alone is over 300 calories. And who eats just one piece? Exactly! ...

CARDIO CRIMES:
Only Doing Cardio Cardio exercise has tons of amazing benefits for your health and weight loss. So if you’re doing any cardio at all, kudos to you! But if cardio is the only form of exercise in which you partake, you are really missing out. You may even be at risk for what many people fear: becoming “skinny fat.” Many people think of cardio as the key to fat-burning, and it is...

Three Types of Bodies. Which one are you?
Three Body Types: #1. Endomorph From all three body types, endomorphs are “fat retainers”. As an endomorph you will always struggle to lose weight and will have to pay much more attention to what you eat and how you exercise because you are genetically prone to store fat easily. I know. It’s incredibly frustrating, it seems downright unfair… The good news is that with...

Kemer Trip
So most of you know I have been away for 10 blissful days in the Turkish sunshine. Being back a week in UK I have holiday blues and reminded myself that I need to blog and share my experience. We (myself and my left arm Mr B) took a trip to a villa situated in Kemer not far from Fethiye in Turkey. Kemer is an old farming town surrounded by beautiful sky high mountains, so high they have the...

Keep that metabolism rate up..
We all think starving ourselves will make it the next size 6. Wrong!!! It MAY work on a very small and quick temporary basis but in the end it will only do more harm than good.                                      Starving our bodies sends messages, confusing messages that we are not getting any food. The food we DO get will automatically be stored, stored as FAT. Yes thats right. FAT!        ...

Being brave..
So this weekend I have a friends birthday party @ Living Room, Manchester. This outfit is probably not something for this venue, but hey fashion is suppose to break all the rules!! I don’t want to be boring and wear a plain boring dress/outfit, I want something on trend exotic. So in a search for something a little out- there, floral, girly, bright and different I turned to my favourite...

Mark Colbourne - Para Cyclist Champion
Today I had the pleasure of meeting this man at a Juice Plus+ meeting he is the most inspirational person of 2012- Mark Colbourne. A few years ago he was injured in a horrific para-glyding accident 2009 and broke his spine, tragically paralysing himself. This multi talented athlete was no longer able to...
